As an avid wilderness backpacker, I wanted the same. So, I set out and started exploring. I decided to hone my skill in writing, photography, content creation, SEO, and collaboration, by building an experience from the ground up that highlights under-recognized wilderness areas throughout the U.S.

Switchbacks contains 42 (and counting) unique stories. From the coasts of Acadia and the deserts of Death Valley to the peaks of the lonely Wind River Range, I’ve documented my tricks and travels in hopes of inspiring the next hiker.

Not wanting to be “just another blog”, each story offers my personal reflections as well as education including interactive maps and milages, park information, permitting, parking restrictions, and gear suggestions in case the reader desires to experience the adventure for themselves.
